1986 Nissan 300ZX

3.0L V6 with 5-speed Manual Transmission

This rust bucket was bought on a whim, and was kind kind of a toy for the owner, so I did what I could with it on the budget I had. I gave it a tune-up, including, upgrading the distributor optical pickup, and fixed as many vacuum leaks as possible before adding a MSD 6AL to stabilize the idle. Upgraded all 4 corners with new shocks, slotted and cross drilled rotors, including, new bearings, and oversized TSW wheels with spacers. Had to install a new rack and pinion though to get it steer right, and a new radiator and fan controller to keep it cool. Then I serviced all the fluids. Then I installed a Kaminari body kit with all LED lighting, including, bluetooth, color changing  headlights.

1987 Pontiac Fiero

2.5L 4 Cylinder with Automatic Transmission

This is an interesting car with an interesting story. The car is actually a "Value Edition", meaning, it came bare bones from the factory; e.g., 4 cylinder, no AC, manual windows, no tach, etc. The owner bought it as their first vehicle with money he made from the swap meet. He drove it until it died and it was garage kept until retirement when he had me help restore the car while adding GT accents and styling ques. So far I installed a new/used fuel tank with custom sending unit and a new pump, and new fuel lines. Then I rebuilt the TBI fuel injector and gave it a tune-up, including, a transmission fluid and filter change. We rebuilt the entire cooling system as well, including a custom aluminum radiator. I had to modify the water outlet at the back of the water pump as well. GM used a leftover thermostat housing as a water neck, so it wouldn't reseal after replacing the water pump. The owner wanted to add the voltmeter/manometer pod as well, but it messed with the way the manometer performed to have 2 of them operating at once, so I added a an adjustable tachometer from a V6. We're supposed to shocks and brakes next.

1980 MGB MK IV Convertible

1.8L 4 Cylinder with Manual Transmission

This is an interesting car. It's literally the last run of MGB ever made. It's come a long way since then though. I completed a botched air pump bypass and added a Weber 38/38 carburetor to a vintage custom intake, including, an oil catch can for the flame arrester, an inline sight glass for the fuel line, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Then I replaced a botched header and exhaust install with a Pacesetter Monza system, including, header wrap. I fixed oil leaks from the valve cover and side cover gaskets under the headers as well. Then I rebuilt the Lucas ICM box by replacing the stock GM style HEI module with a Pertronix Flame Thrower module and a Flame Thrower ignition coil. I then replaced the water pump, added an inline coolant filler neck, made a custom bracket for the heater hose routed over the valve cover, and replaced the cooling fans. The motor had to be lifted to install the new headers as well, and the steering rack had to be removed, so I replaced the steering rack at that time.  I added a waterproof bluetooth handsfree radio and speakers too.

1955 Citroen 11CV Commercial

1.9L 4 Cylinder with Manual Transmission

I didn't get to spend as much time with this car as I would have liked. It's a real piece of art deco history. The interior of the fuel tank was covered in rust, so a previous mechanic used Por-15 to try resealing the surface, but it didn't take. It never does. In fact, products like these shouldn't exist. All they do is waste time and cause more pollution. So, I gave it a tune-up and got it to start by using an external fuel tank.

1969 Chevy Camaro

307ci V8 with Automatic Transmission

This was a fun car to be part of. It was literally bought by a little ole' lady that passed it down to another little ole' lady, and it's been garage kept the entire time. The car still has the original paint and there is almost no rust. The seat covers and carpet look almost brand new as well. I replaced the battery, the alternator, the exciter connector, the voltage regulator, and the voltage regulator connector. Then I replaced the carburetor and added modern spark plug wire holders. We should be addressing the water pump in the near future as well.

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart

2.0L turbo 4B11 4 Cylinder with 5-speed AWD Paddle Shifters

This car has an interesting story. During the pre-purchase inspection the seller showed up with the front bumper nearly falling off the car. Then, when he stopped, two massive puddles of oil formed under the motor and transmission. First things he said too was that the transmission had already been replaced, that he just put the car back on coilovers because he had it bagged, and that he had upgraded the turbo and blow-off valve with pulls from an EVO 2.4L. So, I told my client not to buy it. The price was right though, and the buyer really wanted it, so he bought the car nonetheless. Good thing too because he totally scored. The transmission works perfectly, the bumper just needed to be adjusted, and the oil leaks were literally coming from the oil drain plug gasket and oil filter. So, I installed new front and rear wheel bearings with new front knuckles, new front CV axles, and front and rear slotted and cross drilled rotors with purple calipers.

1985 Nissan 720

289ci Windsor & Automatic Transmission

This has been a fun build to be part of. Total old school wide body mini truck. I installed a Weber 38/38 with an inline sight glass, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and custom fuel lines. After giving it a tune-up I installed dual MSD blaster II ignition coils with a custom bracket from a Porsche. After restoring the cooling system, I installed 2" RideTech front drop knuckles and shocks, slotted and cross drilled over-sized rotors, and custom coilovers in the back with a rear swaybar. I then installed fender flares, a working instrument cluster, and an aftermarket headunit.

1972 Ford F-250

360ci V8 with a 4x4 Manual Transmission

This has been a fun build. Getting a truck this big and this old to operate safely on Oahu's small roads is quite the challenge. So, we started with a custom front disc brake conversion. There was disc brake option available at the time the truck was built, but good look finding one, and getting parts for it. Next step is to add a custom power steering assembly.

1964 Chevy C10 Stepside

2002 6.0L with a 4L80-E 4x2 Automatic Transmission

I was introduced to this truck as it being a junkyard LS swap done by JT of Dallas Car Sharks. It was totally what you'd expect from a set car too, put together enough to get it on the trailer, but that was about it. The truck was totally incomplete. None of the gauges worked, there were a ton of codes, the radiator he used didn't allow for a fan, a condenser, or even an air filter. Every hose was leaking, and the fuel pump wasn't setup properly. So, I installed a custom radiator with an electric fan and an AC condenser that allowed enough room for a stubby air filter. I then made custom transmission cooler lines, custom AC lines, and custom radiator hoses. Then I modified the engine and computer harness to work with the body.
